The Ladies Hair Cut category at the Hair Championships will take place on the show floor of Professional Beauty Dubai at the Festival Arena on 18 February.

It's a 60 minute live hair cutting competition and the entrants will be judged live by some of the best industry professionals.  

How to Enter

Register for your free ticket to Professional Beauty Dubai Show here and then email info@professionalbeauty.me with the categories that you would like to enter. The cost is 375 AED per category. Spots are limited, don’t miss out!

The Prize

The overall winner will win a trophy, certificates, products and cash prize.

Judging criteria

  1. Pre- competition hair condition, length, color
  2. Overall look, beauty
  3. Shape/Precision
  4. Texture/finish
  5. Product control
  6. Complexity

 

ENTER THE HAIR CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Rules

  1. 60 minutes is given from start to finish for entire haircut work with final look.
  2. Models hair length prior to championship start should be at least 3 cm longer comparing to final haircut look hair length.
  3. Models hair with permanent hair extensions of any kind are not allowed.
  4. Haircut length should be longest above shoulder length. Ends of hair after haircut done must not touch shoulders.
  5. Scissors, sheers, thinning sheers, razors are allowed to be used.
  6. Combs, brushes of any shape are allowed to be used.
  7. Blowdryers, straightening irons are allowed to be used.
  8. Curling or waving tools, clippers are NOT allowed to be used.
  9. Judges should be able to see end result of hair cut styled without waves or curls.
  10. Haircut theme is free style.
  11. Haircut proportions should be in ergonomic geometry of a universal haircut rules.
  12. Haircut style should enhance and compliment overall head and face shape.
  13. Perimeter or outline should be clear and consistent.
  14. In case of asymmetric haircut perimeter or outline should enhance the asymmetry idea and shape of the haircut.
  15. Blended graduation should be seamless without visible scissor lines.
  16. In case of colored hair- hair color must be done prior to the championship, outside the competition area. Hair color should be done not longer than one week prior to the championship.
  17. In case of colored hair- color must compliment haircut overall look, texture and finish.
  18. Haircut must enhance the beauty of the model, model’s face shape and head.
  19. Models must wear outfit without turtle neck collar. Neck must be exposed.
  20. Products: style sprays, style waxes, style serums are allowed to be used in moderate amount allowing judges to see and touch the quality of the haircut finish.
  21. Coloring products, coloring mousses, coloring sprays, coloring powders are NOT allowed to be used.
  22. Shimmer, glitter, gloss sprays/products are NOT allowed to be used.
  23. Hair pins, clips or bobby pins are not allowed to be left on a finished haircut.
  24. Hair extensions, hair wefts are NOT allowed to be used.
  25. Water sprays are allowed to be used.
