Who can enter?

All qualified male and female stylists who work in the GCC in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of one year excluding training may enter this category.

Entry deadline

The deadline for all Awards entries is 23:00HRS (DUBAI TIME) On 14th October 2024. 

Any entries received after this date, or any updates to entries already submitted, will not be counted.

Finalists in this category will be required to attend an interview in person at a venue in Dubai or via Zoom.

Requirements?

  • Must demonstrate a transformational look/ Cut and re-style.
  • Four separate looks must have been created by you in the last 12 months.(before and after pictures, this can be 4 separate models or clients)
  • The photograph can be in colour or black and white.
  • The work must be created on a female and be commercial, wearable, and reflect current trends.
  • The Organisers and judges reserve the right to question any photographs where the hair appears to be retouched/enhanced.
  • Entrants must submit four high resolution photographs of the model/clients hair pre-styling.
  • Entrants must submit four high resolution photographs of the finished look.
  • For each look, an analysis of the model's un-styled hair must be submitted, outlining: texture, colour, and any other relevant information, and then a storyline and analysis of the concept behind the finished result.
  • Must attend a practical day where you can bring a model and ask you to perform a cut & re-style in front of a panel of judges.
  • Face to face interview with panel of judges.

Images of each look (4 looks in total) should focus on the hair. Both the before and after pictures should be taken in the same light with the same back drop taken at the same angle and should be mainly of the back of the head. The images should be portrait.


The competition is judged on hair work only, not total look
