Additional Rules & Regulations

1. Model Eligibility

• The model must be female, aged 16 to 28 years.
• Models under 18 years must have written parental or guardian consent.
• The model must arrive on stage with a completely bare face, free from makeup, skincare residue, primer, or
• base products.

2. Competition Topic & Presentation

•  Competitors must work strictly within the assigned category and theme as briefed.
• The final makeup look must clearly reflect the concept, theme, and presentation requirements of the registered category.
• Only the makeup application will be judged; hair, jewellery, and outfit are not included in scoring.

3. Briefing of Competitors

• All competitors must attend the official judges’ briefing prior to the start of the competition.
• Competition rules, time limits, and judging expectations will be clarified during the briefing.
• Failure to follow briefing instructions may result in penalties or disqualification.

4. Competitor Material Responsibility

• Competitors must bring all required tools, brushes, products, disposables, and materials.
• Sharing of tools or products between competitors is strictly prohibited.
• All products used must be cosmetic-grade and safe for professional use.

5. Preparation of Client & Workstation

Competitors will be assessed on professional preparation standards, including:

• Workstation set up in a clean, organised, and functional manner
• Compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Proper preparation of the model’s skin, including:
• Cleansing
• Toning
• Moisturising

6. Professional Practice

Judges will observe:

• Therapist’s body posture, control, and professional energy
• Safe and efficient working methods
• Respectful handling of the model at all times

7. Hair, Dress & Decorative Elements

• Hair styling, outfit, jewellery, and decorative elements (e.g. gems, glitter) may be prepared off stage only.

• No adjustments to hair, wardrobe, or accessories are permitted once the competition begins.

• Decorative elements must not compromise safety or makeup execution.

8. Makeup Application Criteria

Judging will include evaluation of the following components:

• Overall complexion / base application
• Corrections and contouring
• Creative techniques and execution
• Use of professional tools and brushes
• Eye makeup (including eyeliner and false lashes, if used)
• Blusher application
• Eyebrow enhancement
• Lip liner and lipstick application
• Product selection and suitability for skin tone and concept
• Use of stencils or pre-drawn guides is strictly prohibited.

9. Completion & Workstation Hygiene

•  At the end of the practical session, competitors must clean and tidy their workstation.
• Hygiene will be assessed at start, during, and completion of the competition.
• Judging Score Descriptors
• Judges will score competitors based on the following professional benchmarks:
• All required tools and products are prepared before starting
• Model is positioned comfortably and safely
• Proper model analysis is conducted prior to application
• Product blending and finish quality

Complexion Assessment:

1. Not natural or uniform; poorly blended
2. Natural appearance with visible imperfections
3. Natural, uniform finish with no visible imperfections

Cheek Area:

1. Uneven, unbalanced, poor colour choice
2. Slightly uneven or unbalanced
3. Even, balanced, appropriate colour selection

Eye Makeup:

1. Uneven, unbalanced, untidy
2. Slight imbalance or inconsistency
3. Even, balanced, clean, and precise

Lip Makeup:

1. Uneven shape, poor correction, untidy
2. Slight imbalance or unevenness
3. Balanced, clean, and well-defined

Techniques Evaluated Include:

• Tool handling
• Product hygiene

• Brushes must be down at the final call.
• Late completion may result in point deductions or disqualification.

Products & Tools

• No pre-applied makeup on the model.
• Prohibited items include:

1. Airbrush machines (unless permitted)
2.  Stencils or pre-drawn guides

Hygiene & Sanitation

• Clean, sanitised brushes required
• Disposable applicators for mascara and lip products
• Sanitiser must be present at the workstation
• Unsanitary practices may result in immediate disqualification

Models

• Models must not assist with makeup application.
• Models must comply fully with competition rules.

Assistance & Conduct

• No external assistance permitted.
• No communication with spectators or trainers.
• Mobile phones, smart devices, or reference images are prohibited
• Any form of cheating results in disqualification

• Judges’ decisions are final and non-negotiable.
• Scores may not be disclosed.

Safety

• No use of harmful chemicals or unsafe tools.
• All adhesives, lashes, and products must be safe and approved.
• Any injury or reaction must be reported immediately.

• Professional attire required (black or neutral preferred).
• Closed footwear recommended.

• Any misconduct, discrimination, or harassment will result in disqualification.

T&C Make-up Championship PBGCC 

General Terms and Conditions for taking part in Make-up Championship PBGCC.

• First step registration and payment must be done prior to championship online on the website of Professional Beauty GCC at  Enter Make-up Championship here
• If you're an individual, salon, or exhibitor of Professional Beauty GCC entering 5 or more people or categories, email [email protected] for discount.
• Brands not exhibiting can inquire about sponsorship and available discounts by contacting [email protected]
• Salons and Brands entering individuals are known as ‘Sponsors’ and will appear alongside the entrants name in any promotion or marketing.
• Any unauthorised use (defined as anyone using the coupon for less than 5 entries or for those that are brands who are not exhibiting at Professional Beauty GCC) of the coupon will result in automatic disqualification. Any payments made will not be refunded.
• Second step registration must be done in person by visiting the registration booth on the championship arena at 09.00 on the first day of Make-up Championship PBGCC.
• Failure to register via 2 steps- online and on the arena will lead to disqualification and PBGCC reserves the rights to no refund.
• No show or late arrival for registration may lead to disqualification of contestant.
• All entrance fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• The competition welcomes all levels from students to experts.
• Competitors and models must be at least 16 years old..
• Models are not supplied to competitors.
• If a competitor does not speak English, they are allowed to have a translator accompany them.
• Translators are not provided and must be approved before the competition. 
• We reserve the rights to change to disqualify due to entering the wrong category or fraudulent use of images. Therefore, please make sure you are entering the right level based on your experience.
• Lash Inc. are not responsible for any errors or omissions in your entry, or for any consequences that arise due to this. After registration, you will be sent a confirmation email and registration form with instructions within 24hrs.
• Participant can enter in one or multiple categories.
