Beauty talk back

We’ve been listening to feedback from clients about the things they love and hate when it comes to beauty experiences and here’s what they had to say:

The good

Salons or spas where the staff is genuinely happy and enjoying their jobs is great to see and gives me confidence in their abilities.

There’s nothing I appreciate more than a therapist or stylist who listens to any concerns I have about my nail / skin / hair and comes up with genuine and lasting treatments to fix them.

If I find a salon or spa that I like, then I’ll recommend it to friends and frequent it on a regular basis – and it’s great when this is recognised and rewarded.

Fortunately I’ve only had one bad experience at the salon, but what started out as a negative turned into a positive because the salon were quick to acknowledge that the treatment wasn’t what I requested and they fixed my colour without hesitation and waived the charges.

The bad

Staff that talk amongst themselves constantly, leaving you feeling ignored and irrelevant.

Being bombarded with products that I simply ‘must-buy’ from the moment I walk in until the second I leave.

I don’t mind a polite chat with my stylist when I’m having my hair done – but I don’t want to hear their life story in detail each time I go! And when I visit the spa for a relaxing treatment – I want a talk-free experience.

And the ugly

A lack of hygiene or safety procedures has me heading straight for the door.

Too much negativity – being told throughout my treatment what poor condition my skin / hair / nails are in. Instead of walking out feeling a million dollars, I walk out feeling a million dollars in debt.
