The rebrand brings more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands under a unified masterbrand and loyalty programme, alongside a new guest experience and upgraded digital infrastructure.

BWH Hotels is rebranding as WorldHotels as part of a comprehensive transformation designed to strengthen brand recognition, simplify the guest experience and accelerate growth across its global portfolio.

According to the company, the strategic evolution brings more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands under a unified global masterbrand and loyalty programme. The initiative aims to make it easier for travellers to discover, evaluate and book properties while preserving the individual character and independence of each hotel.

The transformation is supported by consumer research and introduces a new guest experience, an integrated loyalty programme, an updated website and a redesigned mobile app.

“WorldHotels gives us a clearer way to tell our story,” said Larry Cuculic, president and CEO of WorldHotels. He added that the rebrand would help hotel owners compete more effectively on a global scale while retaining their independence.

Despite the broader corporate identity change, individual hotel properties will retain their existing names, branding and signage.

Previously positioned as BWH Hotels’ collection of independent luxury and lifestyle properties, WorldHotels will now serve as the group's overarching masterbrand, with its upscale and luxury portfolio organised under the WorldHotels Collection.

Unified Loyalty Programme and Enhanced Guest Experience

A key element of the transformation is the launch of WorldHotels Rewards, a unified loyalty programme combining Best Western Rewards and WorldHotels Rewards into a single platform serving more than 70 million members.

Scheduled to launch on 5 January 2027, the programme will feature a simplified three-tier structure while maintaining existing member benefits. Further details on the updated rewards offering are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

“By bringing our loyalty program together under WorldHotels Rewards, we’re making it easier for guests to discover the full breadth of our portfolio, find the right hotel for every journey and feel welcomed wherever they stay,” said Joelle Park, chief marketing officer of WorldHotels.

The company is also introducing a guest experience programme focused on local expertise, drawing on the knowledge of independent hoteliers to help travellers discover experiences that reflect each destination's character.

The initiative is intended to improve cross-portfolio discovery, strengthen direct relationships with guests and increase visibility for hotel owners worldwide.

Digital enhancements form another central part of the transformation. A new website and redesigned mobile app will be supported by a proprietary discovery platform developed using more than 10,000 hours of insights gathered from hotel teams around the world. The platform is designed to improve the booking journey while creating more opportunities for owners to attract direct bookings.

WorldHotels Collection Expands Its Portfolio Structure

As part of the reorganisation, all upscale and luxury properties will be brought together under the WorldHotels Collection, which will comprise six categories: WorldHotels Luxury, WorldHotels Elite, WorldHotels Distinctive, WorldHotels Crafted, WorldHotels Backdrop and WorldHotels Residences.

The structure is designed to accommodate a diverse range of independent properties while connecting them to the commercial reach, technology and distribution capabilities of a major hospitality network.

Ron Pohl, president of WorldHotels Collection, said the collection combines the individuality of independent hotels with the scale and resources of a global hospitality organisation.

The transformation builds on several recent developments across the group's portfolio. Earlier in 2026, the company introduced WorldHotels Backdrop, a collection of glamping retreats in scenic destinations worldwide. It also established an upscale sales division in June to support commercial growth across its luxury and upscale properties.

In August, BWH Hotels expanded its design-led boutique brand, Aiden, with new openings in Sacramento, California, and Kansas City, Missouri.

The latest rebrand represents a broader effort to strengthen the group's global positioning while responding to changing traveller expectations, increasing digital engagement and providing independent hotel owners with greater access to international demand.

By bringing its portfolio, loyalty offering and digital platforms together under the WorldHotels name, the company aims to establish a more consistent global identity without compromising the distinct character that defines its individual properties.
