Salons, spas, wellness institutes and hotels across the GCC are being invited to open their doors and showcase their expertise to the world as part of the 10th annual World Wellness Weekend (WWW), taking place from 18–20 September 2026.
This global, non-profit initiative spans 187 countries and features over 11,000 participating venues. By joining, GCC wellness and beauty providers have a unique opportunity to attract health-conscious locals, elevate their brand presence, and tap into a booming regional demand for physical and mental well-being.
Major hospitality leaders, including Marriott International and the TAJ Hotel Group, have utilized the weekend to activate respectively 187 and 85 hotels simultaneously, touching thousands of lives through diverse wellness sessions.
What is World Wellness Weekend?
World Wellness Weekend is a global activation that encourages wellness venues to invite the public to experience their services first-hand through free, collective classes or workshops.
Rather than offering discounted one-on-one treatments, participating venues host group activities. This allows prospective clients to experience the facility's unique atmosphere, interact with expert therapists, and discover specialized services, incentivizing them to book full-priced treatments in the future.
"World Wellness Weekend has been a game-changer for us in terms of PR, award nominations, and business generated," notes a representative from Alba Wellness Valley.
The scale of the event is massive. In 2025 alone, World Wellness Weekend generated 20 million views globally, supported by over 1,000 media mentions and more than 30 TV and radio interviews. Major hospitality leaders, including the TAJ Hotel Group, have utilized the weekend to activate dozens of properties simultaneously, touching thousands of lives through diverse wellness sessions.

- Boost Future Bookings: Turn first-time visitors into long-term loyal clients after they experience a sample of your expertise.
- Gain Free Global & Media Exposure: Increase your digital footprint on the global directory Wellmap.org, used extensively by wellness seekers and international journalists.

Engaging activity ideas for your venue
The initiative encourages simple, engaging, and easy-to-manage group formats. Successful ideas for beauty salons and spas include:
- Skin Health & Beauty Bars: Interactive workshops focusing on targeted eye, face, or mask applications.
- Face Fitness: Group classes for Face Gym, Face Yoga, or Eye Yoga.
- Mini-Massage Workshops: Interactive tutorials where participants learn basic self-care or partner techniques for the head, neck, shoulders, or hands.
- Holistic Wellness: Guided relaxation, breathwork sessions paired with aromatherapy, or assisted stretching classes.
Note: To maintain the spirit of the event, offering a single free individual massage is considered a promotion rather than a collective activity. Venues are encouraged to think in group formats to maximize community reach.
