Laser treatment for fungal nails

Onychomycosis, the medical name for fungal nail disease, affects two to fourteen per cent of the adult population. In the past, this condition was treated by oral medication and other topical treatments but Euromed Clinic, Dubai, is offering a laser treatment which kills nail fungus at source. The Quanta Duetto laser is tuned to a specific frequency that obliterates cells responsible for the fungus by raising the temperature under the nail bed, in turn creating an inhospitable environment.
