Professional sunscreen sales soar in US

Professional skincare brands ranked high among the top 100 sunscreens sold in the US in March.
The research, by Amalgam, a new service by analysts Kline, showed brand EltaMD as a key performer with its UV Daily Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 and UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 in the number two and three spots, respectively.
Suncare products from Colorescience, Dermalogica, Murad, Dr. Dennis Gross, and SkinCeuticals also appear well placed in the ranks with SkinCeuticals's Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 and Dermalogica’s Solar Defense Booster SPF 50 appearing in the list.
Sunscreens were highlighted as among the most dynamic and fastest-growing products in the US professional skincare market in 2017.
Kline’s annual US Professional Skin Care Market report revealed that sales of take-home sun care products advanced 7.7% in 2017, mainly driven by the growing demand for sun protection as marketers, physicians, and aestheticians increasingly push the use of daily SPF.
