Radisson Hotel Group accelerates expansion in Saudi Arabia with focus on holy cities
Radisson Hotel Group is embarking on an accelerated expansion journey in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a heightened focus on the holy cities.
In line with its five-year expansion and transformation plan, the Group is committed to becoming the preferred brand for owners, partners, and guests by strengthening its presence in major and secondary cities across Saudi Arabia. To align more closely with the Saudi 2030 vision for hospitality, the Group has announced plans to open a range of new properties in the kingdom's holy cities.
Currently, Radisson Hotel Group operates over 26 properties in Saudi Arabia, including hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments. With an additional 18 properties under development, the company is on track to double its footprint by 2030, aiming for a total of 100 hotels within the next six years. Notable recent developments include the opening of the first Radisson Individuals branded hotel in Saudi Arabia and the upcoming launch of Radisson Hotel & Residence Riyadh Olaya, marking the second Radisson hotel in Riyadh.
Elie Milky, Vice President Development for the Middle East, Cyprus, Greece, and Pakistan at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed enthusiasm about the strategic expansion unfolding across Saudi Arabia. By focusing on dynamic centers like Riyadh and Jeddah, along with a renewed drive across the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, as well as culturally rich secondary cities, the Group is dedicated to supporting the kingdom's goal of welcoming 100 million visitors by 2030.
Approximately 50% of Radisson Hotel Group's presence in the Middle East is represented by its growing portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The Group's ambitious plans extend to offering unparalleled service and innovative hospitality solutions across the kingdom, aiming to play a central role in transforming Saudi Arabia's hospitality landscape.
