Salon Educators rebrands with cutting edge salon and training facility
The new salon and academy, now named Gloss, has relocated to purpose-built premises set to open in September. The 4,290 sq ft salon on El Wasl Road, Jumeirah, Dubai, aims to offer each client a lavish experience. Hair will be washed in distilled water to minimise frizz and keep hair in optimum condition. Clients will then enjoy their hair experience in the innovatively designed cutting and colour zones and, for clients who require it, there will be a private VIP room. Salon Educators already boasts a solid reputation as a City and Guilds accredited training school, serving many top salons across the Middle East. The rebrand marks a new era for the facility which was formerly located in Jumeriah Lake Towers, Dubai. Gloss will be working closely with new partner, Madi International, to offer clients the very latest in Goldwell colour technology and techniques, plus hair care and styling products. Gloss director Deborah Whitehead told Professional Beauty, “Gloss will raise the bar for the hairdressing industry in the Middle East, offering amazing urban chic facilities as well as a first class guest experience synonymous with Dubai’s luxury market. “Our training facilities on the first floor offer a state-of-the-art environment for students to learn essential skills to prepare them for employment. Our interactive online resource, MHDAcademy.com, ensures standardisation across all our training courses. “Gloss is the result of a lot of hard work, dedication and attention to detail by everyone involved. I am sure our team and clients will all benefit from their time with us.“ The Gloss salon aesthetic is drawn from New York’s SoHo and Meatpacking district, combined with the quality, style and expertise of London’s foremost salons. Gloss will cater to Arabic and European clients with ultimate cultural sympathy and the highest service level in the industry. All stylists will be trained to British standards, hold City & Guilds certification, and will undergo continuous professional development to ensure they can easily re-create the latest styles and colour trends desired by clients and influenced by the international runways and red carpet events.
