Shiseido invests in skincare technology with new pay-monthly app

Shiseido is fast becoming at the forefront of technology when it comes to skincare after announcing the launch of a new-pay monthly app and skincare system named 'Optune', according to a report by Bloomberg.
The app will cost consumer 10,000yen ($92) a month, based on a subscription service where the app will work to analyse the skin via smartphone technology. The app incorporates a cylindrical device which then mixes and dispenses a personalised formula, twice a day.
Offering as many as 80,000 combinations, the system is said to be targeted at women that face that struggle to find the time to source the correct formula for their skin.
