In an unprecedented show of commitment to global wellness, 2025 marks the largest participation yet from hotel groups in World Wellness Weekend. Across the United Arab Emirates, 61 venues are stepping up to champion the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #3: “Good Health and Wellbeing for All.” Hotels are offering free wellness events for guests, workplace wellness sessions for staff, and outreach programs for frontline professionals including doctors, nurses, and firefighters.
Strategic Support from Dubai Sports Council
Aheem Siddique, UAE Country Ambassador for World Wellness Weekend, announced a key collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council. “In a promising show of support, the Dubai Sports Council has also expressed its commitment to collaborating with World Wellness Weekend to raise awareness and promote healthier, more active lifestyles through inclusive community engagement and shared wellness goals,” Siddique stated.
This partnership aligns with the UAE’s National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 and Dubai’s ambition to become the best city in the world by 2050. It also sets the stage for the highly anticipated Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30, running November 1–30, 2025, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Since its launch in 2017, the month-long challenge has inspired millions, 2.4 million in 2023 alone to commit to 30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 days, supported by a wide range of free fitness events and wellness opportunities.
Industry Collaboration and Support
The momentum continues with active engagement from Professional Beauty GCC and the World Spa & Wellness Convention DUBAI, who are encouraging their network of hotel and spa professionals to join the movement as “Wellness Champions” and “Wellness Heroes.”
