Minor Hotels has announced the expansion of its Anantara brand in Oman with a new resort in Bandar Al Khairan, Muscat. Situated on the rugged Omani coast, just 45 minutes from the capital, this new-build 121-key property is set to debut in 2026.

Operated by Anantara, the resort in Bandar Al Khairan will feature 51 guestrooms, 46 chalets, and 24 villas, nestled along the mountain shoreline overlooking the Gulf of Oman. Guestrooms will be centrally located within the resort, while one and two-bedroom villas will offer secluded retreats amidst lush gardens, with select units boasting private pools.

Dining options will abound with five restaurants and bars, catering to every palate with all-day international dining, a specialty restaurant, a beachfront eatery, a cozy café, and a rooftop bar boasting panoramic sea views. Additional resort amenities include an infinity pool and kids’ splash pool, a dedicated kids and teens club lounge, an indulgent Anantara Spa, fitness center, a private majlis ideal for stargazing, and versatile meeting and events spaces, complemented by a helipad for convenient access.

Joining the esteemed collection of Anantara properties in the Middle East, including two existing resorts in Oman—Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara and Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort—alongside 10 properties in the U.A.E. and one in Qatar, this upcoming Anantara resort in Bandar Al Khairan is poised to redefine luxury hospitality in the region.

Owned by Musstir, the real estate acquisition and development arm of the MB Holding Company, which also boasts ownership of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara on Oman’s southern coast, this new resort underscores the brand's commitment to providing unparalleled experiences amidst stunning natural landscapes.
