Luxury travellers have a new reason to look toward Saudi Arabia this summer, as the highly anticipated Four Seasons Resort Red Sea prepares to officially welcome guests from May 20, perfectly timed for the Eid Al Adha holiday season.
Now open for reservations through the resort’s official booking channels, the new island retreat is located on Shura Island, the central hub of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Red Sea development. The opening also marks the first opportunity for visitors to experience the Foster + Partners-designed property firsthand.
Positioned along the eastern edge of the island, the resort trades traditional high-rise luxury for a more relaxed barefoot-island aesthetic. Set against the island’s longest private beach, the property features 149 guest rooms and suites, alongside 31 branded residences designed for extended stays and private ownership.
The resort’s experience is deeply connected to both land and sea. Golf enthusiasts will gain exclusive access to Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s only championship island golf course, while marine lovers can explore the Red Sea’s thriving underwater ecosystem through diving and snorkelling excursions across the world’s fourth-largest coral reef system, home to more than 200 endemic marine species.
For guests seeking slower-paced experiences, the resort also offers desert stargazing, curated cultural excursions, and immersive wellness experiences, all within a destination powered entirely by renewable energy.
Designed to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, the secluded property is enveloped by water on three sides, creating a dramatic natural setting for its three swimming pools and wellness-focused spa, complete with a traditional stone-clad hammam.
Dining is another major highlight, with six distinct culinary venues ranging from the Levantine-inspired Al Forn to the plant-forward concept Sea Green. The resort also caters to families with dedicated clubs for children and teenagers, as well as professional padel courts and multiple leisure hubs across the island.
