Warner Bros hotel on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is 90% complete

The WB Abu Dhabi hotel is 90 percent complete. The first guestroom floor, branding, theming, ballroom, core spaces and building façade are all finished.

Operated by Hilton and develop by Miral, the property has cost an immense US$112 million to bring to life. The WB Abu Dhabi will feature 257 rooms over eight levels, with decor that celebrates Warner Bros.’ film and television library. The property will also include WB themed restaurants, a spa and fitness club, and a pool.

Working in collaboration with Warner Bros Themed Entertainment, the hotel will be opposite the Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi, with clear plans to cross sell between the two. On the already-popular Yas Island, the hotel will also be close to the Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and an array of dining outlets.

Warner Bros is one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, with its film studio division – Warner Bros Pictures – being one of the ‘Big Five’ in the industry. WB’s intellectual properties include DC Comics characters such as Batman and Superman; cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo; and The Flintstones.

The Warner Bros hotel is part of a trio

The hotel is part of a wider investment by developer Miral to further enhance the hospitality offerings within Yas Island. As part of the AED627 million development, Yas Island will also get a new branded residence – which Hilton will operate.

DoubleTree by Hilton – Yas Island Residences will feature 156 units in studio, one, two or three-bed options. Rooms will have a kitchenette and guests will have access to a gym, pool and selection of recreational activities. It too will open in 2021.

The third property is the Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island which opened earlier this year.

Matthew Mullan will lead the teams at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, The WB Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton, and DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences, using more than three decades of experience to propel the hotels into the public eye.
