World Wellness Weekend to be celebrated in 100 countries this year
The third World Wellness Weekend will take place on September 21 to 22 this year, with 2,000 venues already participating across 100 countries - the World Wellness Weekend aims to inspire individuals to switch to healthier lifestyles.
Supported by 50 spa associations such as the United Nations Global Sustainability Index Institute, salons and spas across the world are asked to particpate by encouraging wellness-related professionals to raise awareness on wellness.
Cities around the world are beginning to understand that getting "more people, more active, more often" enhances their quality of life and helps that city to position itself as a wellness destination.
Jean-Guy de Gabriac, founder of World Wellness Weekend comments: "If health is a relationship between your body and a Doctor; Wellness is a responsible relationship between your body and yourself."
