Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, Luxury hospitality veteran Aidan Dempsey has been appointed General Manager of The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, bringing more than 20 years of international experience to one of the region’s most ambitious tourism developments.
Located along the untouched western coastline of Saudi Arabia, the Red Sea destination is being positioned as a global benchmark for regenerative tourism, combining environmental stewardship, cultural authenticity, and ultra-luxury hospitality. Dempsey’s appointment comes at a pivotal stage in the project’s development, as the destination continues to expand its global footprint.
Dempsey joins the resort from The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, where he served as General Manager. During his tenure, he led a comprehensive repositioning of the 500-hectare desert resort, strengthening leadership structures, enhancing service delivery, and driving strong commercial performance. Under his leadership, the property achieved Forbes Four Star recognition, secured Virtuoso membership, and was included in the Condé Nast Traveler Global Gold List, alongside recording double-digit growth across key business metrics.
Prior to that, Dempsey held the role of General Manager at Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, where he oversaw the hotel’s post-pandemic reopening and repositioning. His leadership contributed to record levels of employee engagement and sustained gains in market share. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles across prominent hospitality properties in Dublin and Dubai.
Known for a disciplined yet collaborative leadership approach, Dempsey places strong emphasis on people, culture, and operational excellence. At The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, his focus will center on refining service standards and ensuring consistency across every aspect of the guest experience, while shaping the resort’s identity within a rapidly evolving luxury tourism landscape.
