The UAE’s inaugural Gran Meliá hotel is making significant progress, as ASB Hospitality has appointed Dutco Construction as the main contractor for this much-anticipated beachfront development in Dubai.

Situated on the picturesque headland of Jumeirah’s Port De La Mer, the Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah will span over 31,000 square meters and will be built directly on the seafront, offering a stunning array of leisure facilities.

Heddo Siebs, CEO of ASB Hospitality, expressed excitement about the project: “The Gran Meliá Hotel – Dubai Jumeirah represents more than just another hotel; it's a lifestyle destination, born from the strategic partnership between ASB Hospitality and Meliá Hotels International. This collaboration combines a wealth of expertise and vision to create an exceptional guest experience. We are confident that our ambitious vision will be realized to the highest standards of quality and luxury.”

This five-star resort will feature 380 keys, including 31 exclusive suites with private pools, accommodating up to 1,000 guests. Each room is designed to provide breathtaking sea and city views, along with top-tier amenities such as wellness and fitness centers, direct marina access, and a private beach.

Among the standout features of the resort will be two pools, including the UAE’s longest infinity pool at 63 meters, complemented by a garden oasis pool.

Nelson Gibb, CEO of Dutco Group, commented on the partnership: “Working with ASB Hospitality on such a visionary development is a privilege, and we are committed to delivering a resort that will become the next icon in Dubai’s skyline.”

The Gran Meliá Hotel – Dubai Jumeirah’s concept, designed by lead consultant and project architect MOMA, takes inspiration from the contours of an oyster shell. This unique design ensures that all balconies are oriented toward the sea, maximizing the stunning views.

Additionally, the resort will host the region’s first Zuma Beach House, a new lifestyle concept that serves as a seaside iteration of the renowned Japanese hotspot.

The Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah is slated to open its doors towards the end of 2026, marking a new chapter in luxury hospitality in Dubai.
