Four Seasons Hotel DIFC Welcomes SODASHI To The Spa

Sodashi, meaning wholeness, purity and radiance in the ancient language of Sanskrit, is a word that evokes a feeling of nourishment and it is no mystery as to why Sodashi Founder Megan Larsen decided on this word to name her all-natural skincare product line. With a unique background in aromatherapy, biochemistry and Ayurveda, Larsen began making her own skincare products in Western Australia in the early 1990s. There was never any room for compromise. It was 100 percent natural or nothing.
Embracing the mind, body and spirit of each person rather than merely the skin, Megan focused on creating a product that reduced the toxicity on the body caused by chemical-laden products. A pioneer of clean and organic beauty, she created safe transformative skincare for people who want their best skin while making health-centric choices. Using the rarest and most untainted ingredients harvested in a mindful and sustainable manner, Larsen has created a benchmark for beauty products. That is why Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre has chosen to partner with Sodashi, completing the offering within the wider Four Seasons UAE Collection, including Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island.
Considered the purest spa products in the world, Sodashi’s face and body therapies are made using the highest-quality ingredients sourced from around the world, all designed to promote inner peace and contentment while enhancing physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
One particular Sodashi ingredient stands out from the rest, oud. A hidden treasure, oud is also an extremely rare resin that takes up to a century to form inside the heartwood of the ancient aquilaria tree; it is part of the tree's natural defense mechanism when infected by a certain fungus that is carefully harvested over time. It is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world, costing up to USD 9,200 per kilo.
“Oud oil has abundant benefits and qualities and has been used in medicines, therapies and perfumes for centuries. Proven to calm the nervous system, oud has the ability to deliver benefits that are more than skin deep. The rarest and most sacred oil on the planet, oud has a profound ability to release stored emotions making it the perfect tonic for tiredness and stress, bringing about a deep sense of renewal. Being here in the Middle East, it seemed a natural fit for Four Seasons, instilling a deep sense of place,” says Christelle Besnier, Senior Spa Director of Four Seasons UAE Collection.
Sodashi Founder Megan Larsen explains, “Sodashi is an elevated natural experience. We take a holistic approach to beauty that transcends skincare; it is a total experience that works to nurture the mind, body, spirit and emotions. We are delighted to be partnering with The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre to offer an exquisite and customised wellbeing offering, tapping into the power of the most opulent botanical ingredient, oud.”
