Hilton, in partnership with real estate developer Mabanee, has announced plans to open the newly renovated Hilton Kuwait Resort in 2026. The project marks a major transformation of the iconic Mangaf property and is set to become the largest coastal resort in Kuwait, spanning a 1.3-kilometer stretch of beachfront.
The revamped resort will cater to both local residents and international travelers, offering a luxurious seaside escape complete with upgraded accommodations and enhanced leisure amenities.
The comprehensive renovation includes modernized guest rooms, chalets, and villas, along with the addition of outdoor sports areas, a beach club and spa, and a variety of dining options that will highlight both local and international cuisine.
“We are pleased to be furthering our partnership with Mabanee,” said Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development, Middle East & Africa at Hilton. “With its beautiful setting and extensive offerings, the resort will embody the essence of our flagship brand while supporting Kuwait’s growing tourism sector.”
The resort will feature around 330 guest accommodations, including 80 chalets, 64 villas, and 36 studio apartments. Leisure facilities will include a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a full-service spa.
For the business and events segment, the resort will offer 2,100 square meters of ballroom space, along with seven meeting rooms, all equipped with advanced technology and premium catering services—ideal for everything from private gatherings to large-scale weddings.
Waleed Khaled Alsharian, CEO of Mabanee, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We look forward to welcoming guests to a reimagined Hilton Kuwait Resort, where modern design meets world-class hospitality. This opening will further strengthen our hospitality presence in Kuwait.”
Once complete, the Hilton Kuwait Resort will join Hilton’s growing portfolio in the country, which currently includes the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait, Hilton Garden Inn Kuwait, and Hampton by Hilton Kuwait Salmiya.
