Catherine Lazarou, the current Director of Wellness at Atlantis The Palm, leverages her background as a therapist by continuously enrolling in courses and workshops. This dedication not only keeps her updated with industry trends but also allows her to connect with others in the field.
"Continued learning is one of my key values, and fostering this behaviour in other therapists makes the difference between good therapists and great therapists," says Lazarou.
To keep her team focused and motivated, Catherine employs various methods to celebrate their efforts, including announcements in briefings, handwritten notes from the Vice President, and gift vouchers. These gestures have been well-received. However, it was the Biosculpture training that truly stood out.
During the Biosculpture training, the team came together to study, practice, and learn from each other. The training was professional, complete with homework and practical assessments, which felt like being back in college. This was a testament to both the ESPAI team and Biosculpture's training program.
"With extra study comes extra rewards," Catherine explains. This philosophy led to the creation of a graduation ceremony. With the support of the Atlantis Learning and Development Team and the Pastry Team, the idea came to life.
"I am so proud of the team and their continued success. I hope that sharing this experience with the professional beauty industry will inspire technicians to continue their studies and encourage leaders to celebrate their team's achievements," Catherine concludes.
